This recipe is so straightforward that I almost hesitate to call it a recipe. You see, it only need three elements to create an amazing formula (four if you want to go a bit extra savory). Consider it instead as a recommendation for what to offer at your next party—one you should accept.
The only thing that has to be done in this situation is to chop up some kielbasa, but the outcome is so good that you were willing to go the extra mile to have that flavor. These little kielbasa bites are prepared in a sweet, sticky sauce that provides the ideal counterpoint to the meat’s smokiness. It couldn’t be simpler and makes for the ideal snack or application.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 pounds of chopped kilbasa
- 3/4 cup of cola
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of optional chili spice.
INSTRUCTIONS
To a 3 qt pot, add the ingredients gradually and whisk to incorporate.
Stirring occasionally, cook covered for six hours on low heat or three hours on high heat.
Enjoy warm servings!
Reminder: To make on the stove, combine all the ingredients in a medium pot, and simmer for 15 to 30 minutes.
