Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cans (10.5 ounces) condensed chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 large potatoes, diced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon dried Dill
  • ½ teaspoon ground white pepper
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups half cream
  • 1 can (12 fluid ounces) condensed milk

How to Make Creamy Potato Soup and Slow Cooker Bacon

Place the bacon and onion in a large, deep saucepan Pan. Cook over medium-high heat until bacon is evenly browned and onions are soft. Drain off excess fat.
Place the bacon and onion in a slow cooker and add chicken broth, water, potatoes, salt, dill and white pepper.Cover and cook on low heat for 6 to 7 hours, stirring occasionally.
In a small bowl, stir together the flour and half. Add to the soup along with the condensed milk. Cover and cook for another 30 minutes before serving.
