Seasoned Ground Beef
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Optional: 1/4 cup beef broth or water for extra moisture
Instructions
- Cook the Onion and Garlic:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Brown the Beef:
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
- Season the Beef:
- Drain excess fat if necessary. Stir in salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, chili powder, and oregano. Mix well to coat the beef with the spices.
- Add Moisture (Optional):
- If you prefer a saucier beef, add beef broth or water and simmer for a few minutes until the liquid is reduced.
- Serve:
- Use this seasoned ground beef as a filling for tacos, in spaghetti sauce, or as a topping for nachos.
