A Mississippi pot roast is typically prepared by placing the roast in a pot or slow cooker. You cook it with a little butter, a package of ranch dressing mix, another package of au jus seasoning mix, and a handful of peppers.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 pounds roast beef
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 package ranch seasoning mix
- 1 package sauce mix
- 5 chili peppers
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the roast in the bottom of the pot or slow cooker.
- Spread the butter slices on top, sprinkle with ranch and juice and add the
- peppers. You can use a whole pepper or a handful of sliced peppers.
Cover and cook over low heat for 8 hours. Cut the meat just before serving.RECOGNIZE.
