INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1 large red onion, sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon celery flakes
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS

In a spacious bowl, combine the thinly sliced cucumbers, sliced pink onion, and sliced inexperienced bell pepper. Sprinkle with salt and set aside.

In a saucepan, deliver the white vinegar, sugar, celery flakes, and pink pepper flakes to a boil over medium heat.

Once boiling, take away the saucepan from warmth and add two handfuls of ice. Stir till the ice absolutely melts.

Arrange the salted cucumber, onion, and bell pepper combination into large-mouth canning jars, filling both two quart-sized jars or one half-gallon jar.

Pour the vinegar combination over the vegetables, making sure they are absolutely submerged.

Store the jars in the refrigerator, and take pleasure in in the freshness of this salad for up to two months. Enjoy!
