  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tbsp red food coloring

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

  • 2 large eggs

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp salt

For the Cheesecake Swirl:

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

‍ Instructions

1. Prepare the Oven & Pan:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

2. Make the Red Velvet Batter:

  • In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, vanilla, cocoa powder, food coloring, and vinegar.

  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.

  • Fold in flour and salt just until combined. Set aside about ¼ cup of the batter for swirling.

3. Make the Cheesecake Mixture:

  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.

  • Add sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix until creamy and lump-free.

4. Assemble the Brownies:

  • Pour the red velvet batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

  • Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the batter.

  • Drop spoonfuls of the reserved red velvet batter on top and swirl gently with a knife or skewer.

5. Bake:

  • Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until the center is just set.

  • Let cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.

Tips:

  • For clean cuts, chill brownies before slicing.

  • Add white chocolate chips to the brownie batter for extra decadence!
