Easy candied walnuts that takes 5 minutes and has 5 ingredients. They are chewy, crisp, salty and not-too-sweet and tastes divine!!!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup walnuts
- ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon golden brown sugar, each packed (do now not use
- darkish brown)
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- ⅛ teaspoon + two pinches sal
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place a piece of parchment on a dinner plate (approximately the measurement of the plate) or any different warmness proof plate. Set aside.
- Place all substances (except two pinches salt) in a medium non-stick skillet.
- Place skillet over excessive warmth and prepare dinner (stirring occasionally) for 5 minutes (stirring continuously in the final minute and minimize warmth to medium throughout the closing minute), till all moisture evaporates and the nuts get darker, sleek and starts offevolved to clump collectively (refer pictures).
- It is essential to make positive that all the liquid is evaporated earlier than casting off from heat.
- Immediately switch nuts (scraping any last caramel off the pan) on the organized parchment. Spread the nuts, so that they are in a single layer and sprinkle two pinches salt evenly on pinnacle of nuts.
- Let cool to room temperature and spoil aside with your fingers.
- Store nuts in a container for various days <– if it lasts that long.
