INGREDIENT:

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon granulated chicken broth
  • ⅛ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ salt salt 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup half and half

Instructions

Melt the butter completely in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Make sure it covers the bottom of the pan evenly.
Add the flour with a whisk and mix with the butter, stirring constantly.
Cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. The color should change to a warm brown-brown tone.Add broth, seasoned salt, Old Bay seasoning, pepper, onion powder and salt. Keep hitting.
Add the milk and half and continue stirring for another 5 minutes. The sauce will begin to thicken, so it’s important to stir it to keep the thickness consistent and ensure there are no lumps.
If the consistency is too thick for you, you can add milk a tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
