Ingredients

  • 2 ½ kilos Russet potatoes, or any starchy potato, peeled and grated very finely
  • 1 yellow onion, grated very fine
  • 2 massive eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup all cause flour
  • Oil for frying

How To Make Classic Potato Pancakes

After grating the potatoes, the use of a towel, totally wring out all the liquid from the potatoes.Place the drained potatoes into a massive bowl with the grated onion, salt, eggs and flour.Mix it totally with your hands, you prefer it to be relatively tacky. Add a little greater flour if it is too sticky

Heat three tbsp oil in a skillet.Place ⅓ to ½ a cup of combination into the warm skillet.Fry for three to 5 minutes on every side, till they are golden.Briefly drain on paper towels

Serve immediately, whilst warm with applesauce and a sprinkle of powdered sugar, bitter cream or even yogurt.These should additionally be served with meat and a gravy, the use of these as a facet dish.
