Sausage Wonton Cups
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (optional)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- Cooking spray
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
- Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Mix the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped green onions, chopped bell peppers (if using), and sour cream. Mix well to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Prepare the Wonton Cups: Place one wonton wrapper into each cup of the mini muffin tin, pressing down gently to form a cup shape.
- Fill the Cups: Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the sausage mixture into each wonton cup.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before removing the wonton cups from the muffin tin. Serve warm.
