Cheeseburger Pie
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sliced pickles and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Pie Crust:
- Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges. Set aside.
- Cook the Beef:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the Filling:
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked beef and onion, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and eggs. Stir until well combined.
- Fill the Pie:
- Pour the beef mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with sliced pickles and chopped green onions if desired.
