Ingredients
-
10 cups mini pretzel twists (one 16 oz bag)
-
1 cup lightly packed light brown sugar
-
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cubed
-
1/4 cup light corn syrup
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-
1 bag Heath toffee bits
Instructions
-
Prepare the Pan:
Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C). Lightly grease a large roasting pan with cooking spray.
Add the pretzels to the pan and set aside. -
Make the Toffee:
In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, cubed butter, and corn syrup.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
Let it boil for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla extract and baking soda.
(It will bubble up—that’s normal!) -
Coat the Pretzels:
Pour the hot toffee evenly over the pretzels.
Sprinkle half of the toffee bits on top.
Toss well to coat the pretzels evenly. -
Bake:
Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes so the pretzels get fully coated and caramelized. -
Finish:
Pour the pretzels onto a wax-paper-lined surface.
Immediately sprinkle with the remaining toffee bits.
Let them cool and harden for about 1 hour, then break into clusters and store.
Conclusion
Butter Toffee Pretzels are the perfect make-ahead treat—easy, crunchy, and packed with caramel flavor. They store well for up to a week, making them ideal for gifting, snacking, or adding to holiday dessert trays. Once you try them, they’ll become a yearly tradition!
