As an avid home cook and foodie, Crescent Rolls Cheesecake Casserole is one of my absolute favorite recipes. This heirloom recipe is a crowd-pleaser because it combines rich cheesecake filling with the delicate, buttery layers of crescent-shaped muffin batter. It is simply divine.

I still remember my first encounter with this casserole at my grandmother’s house. When I was a child, the smell of freshly baked rolls wafting in the air was a sure sign that a culinary treat was about to occur.The first bite was a revelation: the creamy cheesecake harmonized with the puff pastry. Since then, this casserole has been a staple at numerous gatherings and has always been met with enthusiastic applause. It’s a recipe worth appreciating and worth trying in your cooking repertoire.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Roll out a can of muffin dough into a crescent shape, press it against the bottom of the plate and seal the seams.
In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over the dough.
Place the second layer of dough on top and seal the edges.Drizzle with melted butter. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the butter.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
