 Ingredients You Will Need

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

 Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

2. Shape the Twists

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for easier handling.

Roll out small logs of dough (about 5–6 inches long and 1/2 inch thick), then gently twist each log to create a spiral shape.

Place each twist on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.

3. Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will still look soft — that’s perfect!

Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
