Would you believe me if I told you that you only need five ingredients? This is true. The base of the dish is made of tiny rice, which is a bit strange because it bakes for a long time, but don’t worry, nothing turns into mush. You take the rice and mix it with two cans of soup and one can of water. Any condensed soup will work, but here I like a combination of chicken and celery. This mixture is placed in a greased baking dish.
Ingredients
- 2 cups small rice
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 can water
- 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 pounds)
- 1 onion soup envelope mix
- Butter, for greasing the baking dish
How to Forgotten Chicken Prepared
Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Put aside.
In a medium bowl, stir together chicken soup, celery soup, 1 can of water and some rice.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture and then sprinkle the onion soup mixture evenly over the top.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil, then bake for about 90 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the rice has absorbed the liquid.
