Instructions
Step 1: Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix warm milk with sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 5–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled.
Step 2: Shape & Fry
Roll dough to about ½-inch thickness. Cut into rounds using a cutter.
Place on parchment paper, cover, and let rise for another 30–40 minutes.
Heat oil in a pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry 2–3 doughnuts at a time, about 1–2 minutes per side.
Remove and drain on paper towels. Roll in granulated sugar while warm.
Step 3: Fill
Use a piping bag fitted with a round tip to inject your filling into the center of each doughnut.
Serve fresh and enjoy!
Tips:
Chill your fillings slightly for easier piping.
Store leftovers in an airtight container, unfilled doughnuts freeze well.
