Heat water and sugar over medium heat until simmers. Stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved. Allow it to cool completely before using.
Place strawberries, lemon juice and three cups of the cooled sugar-water mixture in a blender and puree. Pour the mixture into a large pitcher.Add the rest of the water and sugar mixture. For best results, allow it to cool for 2 to 3 hours. Pour over ice and garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon wedges.

Notes

Prepare the water-sugar mixture (simple syrup) and cool it well.
I prefer to use fresh strawberries for this.Frozen strawberries can be used, but they must be completely thawed. Or better yet, make frozen strawberry lemonade from frozen strawberries.
To garnish with strawberries and lemon slices, cut the glass in half, starting at the bottom and moving around the edge of the glass.
Fresh mint always provides a refreshing taste.
Quickly dissolve the sugar in 2 cups of water over the heat.Let it cool for a few minutes and then add 4 cups of cold water to the mixture.
If you don’t want to use the lemonade quickly, put ice only in the glasses and not in the pitcher. You don’t want the delicious strawberry lemonade to be watered down.
Store leftovers in a covered beverage pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
