Instructions:
Step 1: Sauté the Base
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the sausage and brown it for 5–6 minutes.
Step 2: Build the Flavor
Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
Step 3: Simmer the Jambalaya
Add the chopped cabbage and sauté briefly. Stir in diced tomatoes, rice, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning. Bring to a boil.
Step 4: Cook and Serve
Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 20–25 minutes or until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed. Stir occasionally. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
