Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet Casserole

This Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet Casserole is a hearty, flavorful one-pan meal that’s perfect for game day, cozy dinners, or family gatherings. Packed with seasoned ground beef, creamy cheese, and a golden baked finish, it’s the ultimate comfort food you can make in under 30 minutes!

 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) ground beef

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup cream cheese

  • ½ small onion, chopped

  • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped (optional)

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp sweet paprika

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

 Instructions

  1. Cook the beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Add aromatics:
Stir in the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes, until softened.

  3. Make it creamy:
Add the cream cheese, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined and creamy.

  4. Top with cheese:
Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over the top. Cover the skillet and let it melt, or place the skillet under a broiler for 2–3 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  5. Serve hot:
Serve straight from the skillet with tortilla chips, crusty bread, or over rice.

 Tips for Best Results

  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melt and flavor.

  • You can add jalapeños for extra heat or corn for added sweetness.

  • Great for reheating the next day — just warm over low heat with a splash of milk.
