Parmesan Crusted Spiral Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a towel.
    • Insert a skewer lengthwise through each potato to hold it steady.
    • Using a sharp knife, carefully make spiral cuts around the potato, slicing down to the skewer but not all the way through the potato.
  2. Season the Potatoes:
    • In a small bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
    • Brush each spiral-cut potato with olive oil, making sure to get oil between the slices.
    • Generously sprinkle the Parmesan cheese mixture over the potatoes, making sure to coat them evenly and get the seasoning between the slices.
  3. Bake the Potatoes:
    • Place the seasoned spiral potatoes on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the edges. Turn the potatoes halfway through the baking time to ensure even cooking.
  4. Serve:
    • Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
    • Enjoy as a side dish or appetizer!
