- Dough:

- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk, water, and melted butter until warm (not hot). Add to the flour mixture.
- Add the egg and beat the mixture until smooth. Gradually add the remaining flour to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Caramel Topping
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and corn syrup until well combined and smooth.
- Pour the caramel mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
3. Assemble the Rolls
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 15×9 inches).
- Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle over the butter. Top with chopped pecans.
- Starting from the long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Cut into 12 even slices and place them cut side down into the prepared baking pan.
4. Bake
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
