Air Fryer Monterey Chicken

Air Fryer Monterey Chicken is an convenient home made copycat version of a Chili’s classic. This cheesy, saucy, gentle and juicy rooster is topped with your favourite BBQ sauce, Colby Jack cheese, bacon, diced tomato and inexperienced onion!

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 hen breasts boneless & skinless
  • 6 cups warm water
  • 3 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons BBQ dry rub
  • 1/4 cup organized BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons diced inexperienced onions

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Fill a bowl or baking dish with the heat water and add the salt. Stir to combine.
Add the fowl to the bowl and area in the fridge for 1 hour to brine.
Remove poultry from the liquid and pat dry.
Season the hen on each facets with the BBQ dry rub.
Spritz the air fryer basket with oil and area the rooster in the basket in an even layer.
Air fry at 380 stages for 7 minutes. Brush the BBQ sauce over the chicken, flip, and brush with extra sauce.
Cook for 3-5 greater minutes or till a meat thermometer reaches one hundred sixty five degrees.
Open the air fryer and cautiously sprinkle the pinnacle of the poultry breasts with the shredded cheese. Close the air fryer basket and let sit, grew to become off, for 1-2 minutes to soften the cheese.

NOTE

The brine for the rooster does make this greater moist and flavorful, however if you’re in a rush you can genuinely ignore this step.
When you add the cheese to the chicken, simply area it returned in the air fryer with the basket closed. No want to flip the air fryer on. The residual warmness will soften the cheese besides blowing it around.
