Cheesy Baked Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops, bone-in
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season Pork Chops: Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear Pork Chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear them for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Bake the Pork Chops: Place the seared pork chops in a baking dish. Pour the garlic and chicken broth mixture over the pork chops. Sprinkle paprika on top.
- Add Cheese: Combine the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese in a bowl. Evenly distribute the cheese mixture over the pork chops.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle fresh thyme and parsley on top before serving.
