Creamy Coconut Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1 cup toasted coconut flakes (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base:
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
    • Add the sweetened condensed milk and coconut milk to the cream cheese, and beat until well combined and smooth.
  2. Fold in Whipped Topping:
    • Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Add Shredded Coconut:
    • Stir in the shredded sweetened coconut, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  4. Chill:
    • Pour the mixture into a large serving dish or individual serving cups.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set and chilled.
  5. Toast Coconut Flakes:
    • While the dessert is chilling, toast the coconut flakes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the coconut flakes in an even layer on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Watch closely to prevent burning. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  6. Top and Serve:
    • Just before serving, sprinkle the chilled dessert with the toasted coconut flakes.
