Ingredients
- 3 apples, quartered
For the dough
- 150 g (3/4 cup) sugar
- 220 g butter
- 340 g (1 cup) honey
- 180 ml (3/4 cup) buttermilk
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 300 g (2 half of cups) flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 10 g baking powder
For the caramel
- 100 g (1/2 cup) sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
Preparation
- In the saucepan, add the sugar and water, cook dinner over medium warmth till they flip into caramel, and garnish the apples with organized caramel.
- In any other saucepan, prepare dinner the butter for 6 minutes over medium heat, combine with the honey, buttermilk, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract, sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg and add the salt. Pour over apples and caramel.
- Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 1 hour. Let cool for 15 minutes and serve.
