Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta (such as spaghetti, fettuccine, or angel hair)
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker:
    • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Make the Sauce:
    • In a medium bowl, mix together the Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, softened cream cheese, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Cook the Chicken:
    • Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, ensuring they are fully covered.
    • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  4. Cook the Pasta:
    • About 20 minutes before serving, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and shred them slightly if desired.
    • Toss the cooked pasta with the creamy sauce in the slow cooker.
    • Serve the pasta on plates, topped with chicken and garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
