Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet (1 oz) Italian dressing mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 12 oz (340 g) pasta (such as spaghetti, fettuccine, or angel hair)
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Slow Cooker:
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, softened cream cheese, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Cook the Chicken:
- Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, ensuring they are fully covered.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Cook the Pasta:
- About 20 minutes before serving, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Serve:
- Remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and shred them slightly if desired.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the creamy sauce in the slow cooker.
- Serve the pasta on plates, topped with chicken and garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
