Waldorf Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 large apples, cored and diced (you can use a mix of red and green for color)
  • 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup raisins or dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt (for a lighter version)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dressing:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt) and lemon juice until smooth.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Combine the Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, grapes, celery, nuts, and raisins (or cranberries).
    • Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and gently toss until everything is well coated.
  3. Chill and Serve:
    • Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
    • Serve chilled as a side dish or a light lunch.
