Waldorf Salad
Ingredients:
- 2 large apples, cored and diced (you can use a mix of red and green for color)
- 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped
- 1/3 cup raisins or dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt (for a lighter version)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dressing:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt) and lemon juice until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine the Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, grapes, celery, nuts, and raisins (or cranberries).
- Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and gently toss until everything is well coated.
- Chill and Serve:
- Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled as a side dish or a light lunch.
