Homemade Butter Recipe:
Ingredients:
– Heavy cream (preferably organic)
Instructions:
1. Pour the heavy cream into a food processor or blender. Make sure not to fill it more than halfway to allow room for the cream to expand as it turns into butter.
2. Process the cream on high speed. Initially, the cream will turn into whipped cream.
3. Keep processing. After a few minutes, the whipped cream will start to break down further, and you will see the butterfat separating from the buttermilk.
4. Continue processing until you see small clumps of butter forming and a liquid separating out. This liquid is the buttermilk.
5. Once the butter has formed, strain out the buttermilk. You can save the buttermilk for other recipes.
6. Rinse the butter under cold water to remove any remaining buttermilk. This step helps the butter last longer.
7. You can add a pinch of salt if desired for salted butter.
8. Shape the butter into a block or roll it into a log using parchment paper.
9. Store the homemade butter in the refrigerator. Enjoy your fresh, homemade butter on toast, baked goods, or any other dishes!
